Home & Community Care Program
The Home and Community Care Program (HACC) provides both State and Federal funding for respite care and social support services to people with a disability and their families. Support may occur in-home, in the community or in a host family setting.
Services include assistance and support with personal care, independent/daily living tasks, household/domestic duties and support to access community, recreational and social opportunities.
Individuals/families supported through the HACC program receive an annual allocation of support hours and are encouraged to use these hours according to their needs. As the need for services exceeds funding, a waiting list applies.
