Weeroona Services
Family Support Program - funded through the Department of Communities (Disability Services).
The Family Support Program (FSP) provides a range of flexible support services to children or adults with a disability and their families.
The Family Support Program aims to strengthen the capacity of families to care for their son or daughter with a disability and to assist families to build formal and informal supports. The Family Support Program also aims to support the inclusion of children and adults with disabilities into community life.
A Weeroona facilitator works in partnership with families to assist with planning, gathering information and linking to a range of supports. These may include the purchasing of specialised equipment, therapy services, home modifications, domestic support and in-home help, counseling, support for parents and siblings, recreation and holiday activities.
Eligibility, priority and funding levels for this program are determined by Disability Services; however Weeroona can assist families with registration and funding applications.
